I was about to clean my desktop and find websites for insurance agents; delete unnecessary files, organize them in folders, when I suddenly saw this picture I got from Tumblr:

The fifth portrait reminds me of one of the self-portraits I made before.

Pardon the background stuff. Minus the pillows, blankets, and the poor image quality. :P Even until now, I suck at shooting self-portraits.

    I seldom take self portraits because I’m really bad with them but I do process my photos before uploading them online. Photoshop is my best friend! :)

    Haha that’s an interesting pose! While I personally suck at taking self portraits, yours are definitely better then mine.

    1. I’ve tried.. I’m not the best.
    2. I just make them a tad bit brighter; my cameras lighting is rather… well… light. Haha
    3. Does Photoshop count? o_O

    ~ I only use photoshop. I just play with the light because correct lighting makes a very big difference. Lol.

  10. No.. Not self-portraits but my sister taking picture of me & the last three pics are my posed sometimes.. Sis, u were using your tripod in that picture? i wanna try that pose.. ahaha

    haha, a few of the dopey fashion poses look funny. Your self portrait is cute though!

    1. Yeah, though I usually focus on my upper body more than the whole body.
    2. Most of the time, mostly to adjust lighting.
    3. Photoshop!

    i rarely do self-portraits using timer or something. i only use self-camera. muhahaha. and yes, i do process my photos before publishing them online. i use adobe photoshop and lightroom. :)

  15. yeah, I gave the domain back. I asked her if I could put a page on 7signlelines that says I moved before she took it back, but she didn’t respond to the email and just took it :/ but oh well, people seem to be finding it.
    yeah, well i dont want to do cash or domain prizes, i dont have the money to do either lol. Well I do, but I need it personally. Themes is a good idea, thanks :D

    1. No. Maybe after I shed some pounds I will.

    Well, only of my face or part of my face or head. I think it’s pretty hard to do so. Sometimes I want to take a photo of me standing up so I use a timer but I need to find a good place for the camera.

    Lol, some of those fashion poses are rather weird! The one you used is definitely one of the better ones though – it looks nice! It’s a bit hard to see all the poses from the first pic, but I quite like the middle bottom one too. :)

    As for your questions…
    1. Have you tried making self-portraits? How did it go?
    _I’ve tried, with mixed results! But I never take artistic portraits – I basically hold the camera in front of my face and smile. I’m a bad photographer, but an even worse subject! Lol.
    2. Do you process your photos before publishing them online?
    _My idea of processing is really nothing more than resizing and sometimes adding captions. My graphics skills are far too crappy to do much more than that – I can’t even adjust lighting properly!
    3. What photo manipulation tool do you use?
    _Paint Shop Pro. It’s just a matter of resizing and then clicking “save as”, haha.

  22. yea, i’m still trying to make my site better. =) i want it to be welcoming, easy to use, and a nice place to be! even though it’s just a blog it should be nice to visit even if you’re not a blog reader. =) so i’m still trying to improve! yay!

    i just love smilies! <3 they're so cute! sometimes i do use a lot though. woops! i guess i should be more careful! a lot of smilies is ok, a million is too many! lol

    you take nice self portraits i think! =) you're so pretty after all! =D

    1. most of the pictures of me on my website are self- ortraits. i don't nessessarily like them all, but i can't say they came out bad. =P

    2. only resizing. i'm not much of a graphic designer. lol

    3. usually i use GIMP. i really like it, it's free and easy to use! =D what program do you use?

  23. Nice photo april. I love taking photos of myself too.. True, the similarity is there. Sometimes I use PS just to enhance the color background, you know sometimes when I took photo in a dark place, you wan to enhance the light of the bg.. Just to make it a bit colorful, but I sometimes like dark shots.. :)
