Forget dieting and start thinking long term! Yes, you can get away with eating whenever you want by following these food rules and making over your eating habits for good.
Bring On The Bread. Carbs are not the enemy. To stay on the good side of carbohydrates, banish those crackers, cookies, and pastries, and stick to good ol’ plain bread. Two slices of bread or a dinner roll contain only 1.5 grams of fat, while those cookies you munch on to pass the time can have as much as 13 grams of fat.
Trim It Clean. Be a lean, meat-eating machine by cutting the fat off that juicy steak or skinning that drumstick. Keeping the external fat on meat or the skin on the chicken can add as much as 19 grams of fat to your whole meal. Luckily, lean meat and skinned chicken cuts can now be found in the supermarket.
Do Away With Whole. You’ll be better off using low-fat milk on your cereal, instead of the usual whole milk. When a recipe needs milk, do the same and you’ll be trimming down your daily fat intake significantly. Go the extra mile by using low-fat milk on your coffee or tea as well. Low-fat yogurt is also a great option for getting your sugar fix.
Flavor It Fabulous. Add herbs, spices, lemon, garlic, pepper, and wine to your culinary creations. These ingredients have no fat, so you won’t have to compromise taste just to keep your dishes healthy. While olive oil is the lesser evil and can also add a lot of flavor to your meals. Each teaspoon still has five grams of fat, so use it sparingly.

Good points sis! Eating healthy is indeed better than starving or cutting meals.
hehee
lol, I thought you don’t need this? But for me, this a great info.. alam mo na, body conscious ako ngayon.. lalo na’t parang nag-gagain ako ng weight.
Favorite ko jan is bread and skimmed milk..
oh my! chicken skin is my guilty pleasure. i was never really good at avoiding it. but i’m trying with the low-fat milk and the bread
and the exercise, of course…
nice info there, april. i’m sure this will be of great use to many
Great tips:) I’ve started eating healthy lately, and it surprises me how much it helps with everything really. Especially the mood!
HAHA yeah i do have dimples
but i guess whatever she makes is good too cause she tries to make us eat our veggies and all. i also like to think that i can eat healthy by eating carrots/cellery because they give negative calories (more calories are burned by digesting the hard food). but i usually use dipping sauce.. defeats the purpose again haha.
ive never came across the idea of actually eating healthy because my grandma MAKES me eat whatever she makes
Sigh. This is helpful, I really need to lose weight. =D I’ve cut off my carbs already though.
Those are very good points. Though, I’m not one to diet, I’m actually trying to put on weight haha.
Carbs are certainly not the enemy, you need carbs for energy and to keep you going on a daily basis.
I don’t like fat on meat anyway, I think it’s gross haha.
I’m allergic to milk, I can’t drink it on it’s own but I can have a bit in my tea. We use full fat milk but I guess we shouldn’t be because it’s bad for you.
The last tip is brilliant. I’ll probably have to follow this, I have to see a dietitian next week and he’s going to faint when he see’s what I’ve been eating lmao.
Aww sweet, I love these tips. Not so much the bread one though – I get sick easily if I have bread in the mornings.
I have been drinking low fat milk for a while. Because of my high cholesterol many years ago, I stopped having full cream milk, AND the skin off chicken. I like the inside of chicken better.
And though I don’t like some fruits and veges, some are absolutely delicious. I love my spinach. ;D
PS. You didn’t comment on the wrong blog.
The problem with low-fat stuff is that sometimes it lacks flavor. I hate it when that happens
Oh and I read somewhere that too much of anything white is bad.. like rice, sugar, etc. Makes sense to me! Haha. I’m not too conscious of my diet, though.
Those are good points but I really dislike eating lean meat. Most of the lean meat are quite tough. I’m not a fan of vegetables either. I’m a really picky eater even though I know it isn’t healthy in the long run. Perhaps I should start having cereals for breakfast instead of skipping it.
oh yeah. I LOVE FOODS. It just weird how skinny I am.. even though I love eating.
Aah, I’m so bad about eating lean meat. I love the fatty ones too much! I do try to eat healthy for the most part though. I even got my boyfriend using low fat milk now
I’m not on a diet but wow those tips would be really useful
If these tips are followed, everyone will be slim and healthy. HAHA.
I would most definitely try the bread tip. Gotta lose some weight!
