I actually first saw this on my Tumblr dashboard. And because I know we (or my siblings) have that kind of thing, might as well share them with you guys. Click the thumbnails for larger versions. So they are called kisses. Yeah though I didn’t know why is it called like that. They ARE kisses. When I was in elementary I had those but we never soak them in water. And they are not that huge like the modern version. The kisses we had before were tiny little bits of I-don’t-know-what-it-is thing which were hard, lived in cotton and smelled so good. And the present version are like pearl sago. If you clicked the thumbnails you may probably wonder they have different colors, I’m wondering too. XD Those modern kisses are soft and delicate and are soaked in water for them not do die. Mind you, the kisses before and today (according to my younger sibs) have the ability to reproduce. I mean, yeah they get pregnant and born another one. :/ A bit weird because I don’t know how it happens. But it’s true. I observed it for like 2 days and their number became bigger! Kisses nga raw! Pero you have to soak it nga sa water. I want those! Pag nakalabas ako, bibili ako niyan. Sana meron malapit sa amin. xD

    YAY I WAS FIRST! :D Haha, I remember these things! Gradeschool din ako nung nauso itong mga ito. Ang galing, the same myth is propagated. Nanganganak daw talaga sila. 0_o;;; Pag nilalagay sa bulak, lol. Not that it’s possible that AIR FRESHENER pieces could reproduce, haha! But it’s sooo fun to reminisce! :P Anyhoo, ang lalaki na ng modern versions! w00t! Happy April Fool’s Day to you too dear — it’s your month na! :)

  5. actually, i had those kisses when i was in grade school. the little pink ones and, indeed, it has a sweet scent…
    sa water pala yan iso-soak?? i soaked it in alcohol kasi dati eh.. kaya siguro hindi nag-reproduce :( chine-check ko talaga every 5 minutes pero walang nangyari… hahaha.. silly me! XD

    pero ngayon, wala na ‘kong nakikitang kisses dito! :(

    Omigosh! Kisses got a new look now huh? I really wonder what that “evolved kisses” feels like. :) When I was 9/10, I got the stone-like kisses and all I was like, errr?? What the hell is this? Then my kuya just say “It feels good & it smells nice. But you have to put it in matchbox w/ cotton so they’ll not walk away!” Wtf.

    I was young back then so I just thought that my kuya was just tricking me. I never believed that those can actually reproduce or something coz they’re not living things -at least that is what I believe.

    Wow kisses! Talaga? Parang sago na yung size nila? Dati kasi ang liliit lang nila diba. Hahaha nakakatuwa naman. Nakakatempt kaya kainin yang mga yan. Ang bango kasi eh. Parang ang sarap HAHAHA. Don’t get me wrong though, I never tried eating them ha! :p

    lol i didn’t know uso pa pala ang kisses ngayon..when i was younger yung maliliit pa din na kisses.. i tucked it with a cotton beddings on my pencil case and wait.. peor hindi nanganak yung akin.. :p crap! i don’t know who the hell spread those “rumors” that kisses gets pregnant.. it’s scandalous haha… but i do love the smell :) haha ossum.. (nakigaya XP)

    I got CS4 from my uncle. XD He’s some sort of tech guy, you see, so… ^^ As for the improvements… which other program am I supposed to compare it to? XD If you mean my current one, PS Elements 2.0… well, Elements 2.0 is pretty old, so… XD ;;

    ooh! i know those things. we went to a secluded place for nstp just last month. me and my friends were wondering what were those, cause the kids kept it in a bottle. lol. it’s cute and it comes in different colors. :)

  49. Wow the kisses are beautiful, but we don’t call it kisses here, we call them pearls I think. I’ve seen people use them to grow plants, you know, put some water and stuff them in, and then it looks nice on a glass too ;)

    When I first saw them I thought they were marbles! :P Really, I never knew kisses had become this huge! :P The kisses I’d come to know were the same as yours, though I’ve never tried soaking them in water (or alcohol, so they said) and making them really “grow.” Besides, I doubted it, though some say it’s true :P I’d almost totally forgotten about them until you created an entire blog post on them! Splendid! :D I’d like to figure out how these little things work… and if they really do have the capability to grow… now that I’m in a science high school, I suppose I might as well do so. ;)

    Btw, re the comment you left on my previous blog post :D I’ve read it, and I took your advice. That’s one statement of gratitude I owe to you. :p If you wouldn’t mind, you may check out my new post and see what I’d like to tell you guys. :P

    My sisters have loads of them inside a Nutella jar. And yes, they do replicate! I just don’t know how. :-/

    Is it really true na nagrereproduce sila? grabe. Di kasi ako makapaniwala nung bata, pero dahil bata pa ako nun sa naniwala na lang ako. Pero right now, nacucurious ako at gusto ko bumili ulit ng kisses! Meron pa kaya nun ngayon?

    I prefer the old version siguro. Ayoko ng hindi mabango tapos lumolobo. :( Ang cute cute nung original na kisses eh ehehee!
