Things I Love About Christmas
Twenty more days until we celebrate one of the most awaited time of the year. I seriously can’t believe we’re almost welcoming another year. Time really flies so fast; I didn’t even notice.
- Christmas cold breeze. I am waiting for this since BER months. But here in Philippines, we got to feel it just few weeks or days ago. It makes me feel that really Christmas is just few sleeps away. I got the chance to wear sweater, to enjoy my bed (though I’m having a hard time to wake up early because the cold makes me want to stay in bed all day long and I have early schedule for school), to sip hot chocolate drink during early mornings and before I go to bed.
- Christmas tree. TBH, we don’t have one at home. So, I get envy whenever I see one. I love Christmas trees which are tall, fully decorated with lights and Christmas decors. I want something like white Christmas tree because the green one is so usual, right? Just for a change.
- Christmas decors. They make me say “Aww! They’re so cute!” With all that unique colors for this season. You know, more than the green and red color schemes.
- Christmas lights. People during Christmas tend to be very creative and chivalrous to spend much for decorations. From decorating their Christmas tree to decorating their home inside and out. They won’t mind about the electric bill, the effort they exerted for as long as they can show everybody how they prepared for the holiday. I love seeing those kind of lights.

- Christmas lanterns AKA parol. This is what Filipinos are known for (or so I thought); making colorful, artsy, top of the line Christmas lanterns. These are made from dyed mother of pearl then shaped into a star or any unique pattern and of course being lit up at night which make the night bright. These lanterns are quite expensive though.
- Christmas carolers. Kids here (even adults!) are starting to serenade us (though it should start on the 16th yet). They sing the usual Christmas songs and we give them five bucks after finishing it. But sometimes we don’t. LOL.
So I guess that’s all for a new list?
